Passion - the Key to Entrepreneurial Success
Why do you spend time working in a salary job? Why do you remain in a "safe" office job? The answer to this question most often involves job security. Learn why job security has been ingrained in so many Americans, yet many Americans are unhappy with their current job as Matt Bacak grills John Di Lemme. Why would someone not be satisfied with job security alone? The reason is that they may be in a secure job, but are not following their passion.
Many workers have passions in areas that are far different from their "day" job. These passions may be viewed as a hobby because they are perceived as too risky to take on full time. Entrepreneurs are different. Entrepreneurs view their passion as more then just something to do on a rainy day. They view their passion as the "Why" of their existence.
To be a successful entrepreneur, no matter what your business or background, you need to understand your "Why". To be successful you must be willing to support your passion no matter how many negative comments you receive. Your passion should bubble from you and be with you always no matter if you are in the drug store talking to the pharmacist or in a meeting talking to potential investors.
It is critical to seek out specific strategies that will catapult you to success. Following is a list of strategies that every entrepreneur should utilize to garner the financial and personal success they desire.
? Find a mentor, not a tormentor. This strategy means that you should surround yourself with individuals that support your dream. If you have to explain yourself and your business dreams to a certain person every time you see them and if they only reply with negative comments then this person is a tormentor. Do not waste time and energy with these encounters.
? Increase your knowledge base through personal development. Invest in eBooks, CDs and seminars that will bring you closer to your goals. The time is well worth the effort.
? Learn from the Masters. A "Master" is one that has earned at least $500,000 to $1 million in your business interest area.
Engaging in these strategies will only add value and depth to your "why". What are you waiting for? Sign up for a seminar that interests you and read an eBook geared toward your business. If you don't take responsibility for your passion, no one else will.
